About the Owners
|
Tim and Erin Gibson |
| Both Tim and Erin are graduates of Asbury College, Wilmore, and Erin works full time in the Development office at the College. Tim now is the full time owner/manager at Solomon's Porch. Originally, they are from out of state, Tim from Northfield, New Jersey, and Erin from Sewickley, Pennsylvania. |
| Tim has a heart for troubled youth, having served as a youth pastor for several years during high school and college, and graduating from Asbury with a degree in Christian Ministries in 2001. Tim previously worked for Metro Group Homes, a non-profit youth shelter in Lexington. Tim still feels this passion for young people and hopes to some day coordinate/run a Horse Ministry for troubled youth right here in the Bluegrass. |
| Erin graduated from Asbury in 2002 with a degree in Sociology. She loves working with people and enjoys her current job as the Assistant Director for Annual Programs at Asbury College, planning events, and assisting in the planning and executing the programs for unrestricted giving at the College. |
| Tim and Erin took over ownership of Solomon's Porch in July 2004. It has been a dream they shared together since they were dating. It is truly God's prompting that led them into ownership last summer. They are excited about the ministry possibilities of Solomon's Porch as well as the Development of small business in the small town of Wilmore. |
| In August 2007, Tim and Erin welcomed Braden Baxter Gibson into the
world. In their spare time, they are fixing up their 80 year old home in
Wilmore, and have fun playing with their two labs Diesel (chocolate), and Rex
( yellow). COMING SOON-- Solomon's Porch coffee shop in the
